Description

Minnesota, the California based producer well known for his melodic, uplifting sound, is celebrating the success of his recent ‘Eternal Frequencies: Equinox’ EP with a series of remixes from his friends and fellow producers. Released on Gravitas Recordings, the seven tracks span a number of official remixes in addition to the winners of the ‘Stardust Redux’ remix contest, held in conjunction with The Dankles blog and Emissions Festival. No matter a listener’s taste in bass music, their fix is sure to be sated with this carefully constructed collection of tunes, available as a free/pay-what-you-want download.

Texas rising star Psymbionic provides the alpha track which intermingles the beauty of the original with this producer’s take on bold glitch hop. Showcasing his relatively undiscovered talent, remix contest winner Perkulat0r comes proper with a head-nod worthy version full of psychedelic wobbles and tasteful synthesis. The main room sound does not go unrepresented here, as Crywolf’s offering is a complex yet pure dancefloor banger. Queen of all things beautiful, ill-esha goes deep on her remix of ‘Bloom’, flipping the sultry sense of the original and foregoing big basslines for melodic prowess. D.V.S*, the guitar wielding nu-disco come dubstep magician, plays on Bloom’s epic factor, giving it a strong dynamic makeover. Bringing up the rear are two skilled producers sharing the title of Stardust Redux remix contest runner up, Filibusta and Nanda both with equally noteworthy re-imaginings.
