Katy FraserIn today’s world, the Internet has bridged the gap between creatives in new ways, opening the door to limitless possibilities and collaborations. Whoever you are, wherever you are, you can reach out to someone from another country and get shit done, together.

Last year, an underwater film maker, photographer and technical diver named Katy Fraser reached out to us, looking to collaborate on a music video (at end of this post) for a song that was released on the annual Gravitas compilation, Virtus in Sonus. She was filming in the *Cenotes of the Riveria Maya.

*A cenote is a natural pit, or sinkhole. Cenotes were sometimes used by the ancient Maya for sacrificial offerings.

Katy headed up her own company, She Dives Tech. From filming cave diving with PROTEC, capturing artist Philip Gray’s underwater oil paintings, to creative projects involving long lengths of material and freedivers, Katy is the top-dog in her own niche.

As you can see, the scenery Katy captures is a conglomerate of ominously beautiful surroundings, and it requires the right soundtrack. To score these videos, she has collaborated with Gravitas family. Katy has released videos featuring music by Clozee Zebbler Encanti ExperienceWolf-e-Wolf, and ill.Gates, and yours truly, Bassline Drift and is working on a music video for the single off our upcoming album Proximity. We are excited to see where she goes and what she does next.

Together, we are stronger, and through collaboration we can all take our projects to the next level.
